Jehovah Jesus large – Names of God
Reflecting the crowning Glory of who God is Creator of Heaven and earth. Every name represents a facet of God's character and His Love towards His creation - us, mankind. Some perspective to encourage our relationship with God. He is Father and King, Comforter and Lord of Justice. Our Maker, Healer, Provider and Protector. May His Light and Love be ever present and revealed constantly and intimately in our lives. In our weakness He is our strength. At the base, the top part of a menorah with it's seven flames embraced by the wings of two angels or cherubim as are described regarding the Ark of the Covenant.
To encourage and share a glimpse of who Jesus is throughout the Bible. From Rejected Stone to the Chief Cornerstone, Servant to Master and King, the High Priest and yet the lamb that was slain. The background to the names and scripture references is a fusion of various paintings by the artist. These include The Dove of Peace, the Lion of Judah and the Water of Life flowing down to the Lamb of God. At the lower centre are seven angelic trumpets heralding Christ's return, preceded by the Shofar used as a call to worship God and also as an alert to warn to God's people at various times. Centrally the pair of praying hands representing prayers rising as incense as Holy, Holy, Holy towards the Holy Spirit (Dove). These hands are the hands of Reverend Peter Lees, a minister for the deaf throughout the heart of England, signing the Gospel and sharing the heart of Christ. To the right, as we reach the foot of the cross, amongst the stones, a heart formed from a drop of blood. At first glance, it could easily be thought of as the reflection of Christ on the cross. However, in perspective, the reflection is not of Christ but of the repentant thief on his cross. He represents all of mankind that Jesus forgave and died for. Hence we are always in His heart. Redeeming Love.
